I found your picture today
Inside a box of forgotten memories
Buried in our attic with all the cobwebs.
I’d forgotten you for all these years
Memories of all the whispers throughout town.
Evil stares from townsfolk
their noses turned up, minds already made up.
Look at her, she has guilt written all over her face.
No evidence they said, not guilty said a jury of her peers.
Nothing ever proven.
The rose bushes have grown wild and are in full bloom.
I guess that special fertilizer came through for me after all.
I found your picture today.
I burned it all away with the rest of the memories of you.
