Abstraction by Crimson Quintessence

To dream

My preoccupation

One might think it’s a flaw

I think it’s a gift

To wander in dreaminess

Creating wonder for one’s self.

How can it be wrong?

Capture one thought

Simple, serene, tranquil

Make it yours

If only for a brief moment

Wrap it around your soul

Distract yourself from life’s stresses

Embrace it, dance with it

You have that right

What will your abstraction be?

Payback Over by Crimson Quintessence

I’m ready to go home

I’m tired

I saw it coming

Unfolding before my very eyes

A toxic entity,

That was you.

Full of excuses

Full of lies

The blankest of stares

Behind your dark eyes.

Joint in one hand

Knife in the other,

You cornered me

Your angel and lover.

I submitted my body

But not my soul

That you can’t have

You heart black as coal.

I’m ready to go home now

Swing your steel blade

I’m taking my soul with me

Into the fade.

Run me right through

Sanguine shade

Drain me right out,

It’s how you are made.

Dance on my corpse

Scream and shout.

Your days, will be numbered without any doubt.

That you can count on,

I’ll settle all scores

My soul soars as yours roars

Payback over, there’s nothing more.

Hollow by Crimson Quintessence

A magnitude of emotions well up inside me like tides in the ocean

You lit me up, started a notion, that we would last, like loves magic potion.

Yet, here I sit, feeling so hollow and broken inside, unable to swallow.

The lies you told, so cold, so shallow, crushed me inside, your actions were so hollow.

Promised me things that I just could not have, Like the white picket fence and a multitude of happiness.

I gave you everything I had and you always wanted more.

Your anger and jealousy hurt me to the core.

Over-powered by your rage, locked my emotions in a cage.

Then, the beatings came along with the pain.

Trying to master control but the pain took its toll

You thought I was dead, left me in the shed, screaming pain in my head.

Left me there to rot, all but forgot.

I survived you so I could deny you.

Now, you sit in a cell to rot, curled up on a tiny cot.

All you can do is wallow

How the hell could you be so damn hollow?
