Out of Time

Tied up

all alone

no one around for miles

Someone searching

is it for you

can they get there to save you in time

Drifting in and out

will you survive

to carry that life inside you

Clock ticks slowly

heart rate fading

will they get there in time

The woods are cold and dark at night

while tied up to that tree

how much longer will it take

for someone to set you free

Daylight breaks above the limbs

to which have no more feeling

her will is strong, she’s hanging on

will they rescue her in time

Cryptic  clues left behind

by a dead man who tells no tales

predator he was until his death

this poor girl was for sale

They found him out

without a doubt

they’re looking for her now

The hunt is on to find her before the early dawn

the clock is winding down

where is this girl

hidden within this godforsaken town

door to door

they find a clue

closer than before

they find the girl just in time

she’s knocking on death’s door.
